Symphony seeks local bloggers for 2008-2009 season
Thank you all for your interest in the PSO program! They have notified us that they have all the bloggers they need for this season. We'll make sure to announce any similar programs in the future.
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is looking for a few local bloggers to post on the Symphony Blog for the upcoming Pittsburgh Symphony Classical season.
The details:
1. Prospective bloggers should send to the PSO via email (blogmanagers@pittsburghsymphony.org): name, any current blogs, contact info, a short paragraph explaining why you want to blog for the PSO, and what level of commitment you think you can give (i.e. how many performances would you attend?).
2. The PSO will consider all applications and let bloggers know who has been selected early in September. They are looking for three to six reliable bloggers who are willing to attend between four and six performances in the upcoming season (although you can attend many more if you want!). They are also looking for a range of experience - from seasoned classical music lovers to someone who has never stepped foot inside Heinz Hall. The more diverse the experience, the better.
3. The PSO will provide admission for two to any concerts of your choosing, although they reserve the right to withhold tickets for any reason (for instance, a sold out performance). Concert listings can be found on the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra site.
4. In exchange for attending a concert, the PSO expects participants to post a blog of their experience on the Symphony blog within 24 hours of the event. All blogs are reviewed by Symphony staff before being posted, but they're just checking for errors or anything clearly derogatory. Otherwise, the PSO welcomes comments both positive and negative - they want a true account of a person's experience at the concert.
If you have further questions, contact the PSO at blogmanagers@pittsburghsymphony.org.
