New Blog: Minority Networking Exchange
The Minority Networking Exchange Inc., strives to increase the amount of successful minority owned businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh area and the United States!
We use traditional and nontraditional methods to provide opportunities for our members. We explore opportunities in the black community, corporate community and others.
NETWORKING is the KEY TO SUCCESS!
We provide multiple events per month where Professionals, Business Owners and Customers will network with each other.
I created the MNE, Inc. because of my concern about the retention of minority owned businesses. I wanted to create an organization that would provide a support system to business owners. Pittsburgh needed a new organization that would address networking opportunities. The MNE, Inc. will provide multiple events per month. These events will create opportunities for collaboration, learning and revenue. My vision is for the members of the MNE, Inc. to become the vocal leaders of the black community. As business owners and leaders - We must provide mentorship opportunities for our youth. Teach them that they too can become Entrepreneurs!

New Blog: Istanbul Grille Pittsburgh
The Istanbul Grille opened its doors in 2005 providing affordable Turkish fare. The food at Istanbul Grille is always fresh. Everything is made daily by hand, nothing is ever canned or frozen. Turkish food is often described as somewhere between Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food, combining the best of both worlds. This is only an approximate, of course, as the food can really only accurately be described as Turkish. There is something for every palate with lamb, chicken, and vegetarian dishes all made with the same standard of freshness and quality.

New Blog: speed of the pittsburgh sound
The Speed of the Pittsburgh Sound is devoted to all things musically related to Pittsburgh, focusing primarily on the burgeoning independent/alternative music scene that is thriving in many neighborhoods across the city. We had made the observation that fanzine-type blogs were not well represented in Pittsburgh compared to other cities, so we decided to comprehensively catalog the different concerts, albums, events and any other musical goings on in our home town that we felt deserved our attention. Of course, the blogging community has no shortage of young, white males writing about independent music, but a Pittsburgh-centric music blog had yet to become a reality until a few weeks ago(for those keeping track, we are talking about us) so we felt more than comfortable taking up the cause.
